It was a pleasure to conduct the school’s inaugural evensong service in a reflective lunchtime performance on the final day of term. Over the past year, the choir has grown and developed immensely, to the point where a full display of repertoire - interspersed with readings and organ solos - was possible, achieving what I set out to reach when I established the group last year.
The atmosphere in the drama hall was magical as the choir held the room and a content audience took time away from the chaos of a school day to retreat to the quiet space and enjoy the proceedings. As I leave the choir this year, I wish them luck in their endeavours - they have a very promising future ahead of them!
