30th AprilSixth Form pupils honour charity partners following record-breaking fundraising drive
The spirit of generosity that defined the end of the Autumn term 2025 reached its official crescendo on 25th March, as Sixth Form pupils gathered for a special commemorative event. While the high-energy fundraising of Charities Week took place during the final days of the previous year, this spring gathering served as a more intimate opportunity to reflect on a monumental achievement. The pupils were delighted to announce that their collective efforts resulted in a donation exceeding £15,000, a figure that highlights the extraordinary dedication of the year group in raising vital funds for Spread a Smile, Herts Young Homeless, and Endometriosis UK.
To mark the occasion, the Sixth Form welcomed esteemed representatives from Endometriosis UK, Spread a Smile, and Herts Young Homeless to the school grounds. This smaller, celebratory event allowed the pupils to hand over the hard-earned cheques in person and hear firsthand how the funds would be utilised to support medical awareness, provide joy to children in hospitals, and combat youth homelessness in Hertfordshire. The visiting representatives expressed their sincere gratitude, noting that the passion shown by the pupils would provide a significant boost to their respective missions.
The success of the entire campaign serves as a crowning achievement for the Charity prefects, whose exceptional leadership began months ago during the planning phases of the Autumn term. Their ability to maintain momentum from the initial winter events through to this spring presentation demonstrated a level of professional commitment and genuine empathy that inspired the entire school community. A massive thank you must go to our Charity prefects for their tireless work and vision; it is through their guidance that such a meaningful contribution to these vital causes was made possible.
