National gymnastics success: Oscar shines in Liverpool

We are thrilled to share some extraordinary news regarding Oscar’s performance at the British Gymnastics Championships in Liverpool this past weekend. Competing in the highly prestigious U16 section, Oscar delivered a masterclass in consistency and skill to finish 4th in Great Britain overall. This achievement was made even more special by a massive personal best all-around score of 69.250.

His technical precision during the qualifying rounds earned him two superb silver medals on both the High Bar and the Vault, securing his place in the Sunday individual finals. Notably, these finals were a true test of nerve as they combined the top performers from both the U16 and U18 sections. Performing brilliantly under pressure against an older field, Oscar finished 7th on the High Bar and clinched a spectacular Bronze medal on the Vault. We are immensely proud of Oscar’s dedication and hard work, and we invite the entire school community to celebrate this world-class success.
