15th JulyA level results day 2026
Today, we congratulate our pupils on their excellent A-level results. 39% of all grades awarded were A* or A grades, with 12% securing A* and 72% of pupils receiving A*-B. We are delighted that the vast majority of our pupils gained admission to their chosen universities or prestigious apprenticeships. Notably, four pupils secured places at Oxford or Cambridge, with two other pupils on their way to medical school.
Special commendations are extended to Sebastian J for achieving an exceptional four A* grades, alongside Thomas B, Emily McK, Thomas O, Abi E, Samuel K, Elizabeth N and Vishnu V, who each secured a remarkable three A* grades, often alongside other impressive grades. Notable recognition goes to Julia W for achieving an impressive suite of five A-levels at A*-A, with further congratulations to Isaac B, Jude P, William W and Aydin M for their outstanding achievements in attaining a combination of top A* and A grades across four subjects.
Mr Sutherland, headteacher, extended his congratulations, commenting that “today is a celebration of our pupils' exceptional dedication and passion for learning. These fantastic A-level results reflect not only academic excellence, but the perseverance each pupil has demonstrated throughout their time at our school. As they take their next steps into higher education, apprenticeships and exciting career pathways, we wish them every success. We are immensely proud of everything these pupils have achieved; their contribution to the ethos of the school and the wider community has been outstanding and we look forward to welcoming them back as ‘Old Danes’ in the years to come”.
