18th JuneYear 11 Pupils Achieve Outstanding Success in King's Trust Programme
A dedicated group of Year 11 pupils has successfully completed the prestigious King's Trust programme, equipping themselves with valuable life skills as they prepare to take their next steps beyond the classroom. The quality of the pupils' work throughout the scheme was deemed outstanding, with individuals presenting their final portfolios to an exceptionally high standard.
To earn this recognition, the pupils completed a rigorous and diverse range of practical units designed to foster real-world readiness. The curriculum challenged them to master modules including undertaking an enterprise project, teamwork skills, experiencing the world of work, wellbeing - healthy eating, managing money and presentation skills.
Through these targeted activities, the pupils developed highly effective communication skills, learnt how to work productively as part of a cohesive team, and gained a much greater sense of personal responsibility and reliability. Staff noted that the programme has also been instrumental in boosting the overall confidence and resilience of the cohort.
These crucial transferable skills are set to provide a fantastic foundation for the pupils as they strive to achieve their future goals. Whether their next steps lead them toward apprenticeships, further education, or entering employment, they leave the programme exceptionally well-prepared for their future pathways. The entire school community extends its congratulations to the Year 11 pupils for their hard work and dedication.
