Eager readers celebrate winning Year 7 Non-Fiction Reading Challenge

Congratulations to 7D who won the Year 7 Non-fiction Reading Challenge, for reading the widest range of non-fiction and the largest volume of books during the period of the competition. On Tuesday 22nd January, the students celebrated their win at a morning tea party in the LRC, which was hosted by librarians Mrs Gustaffson and Mrs Murray. Year 7E student Amelia was named as the winner of the competition for the individual with the most interesting fact - 'Do you know that polar bears have a powerful sense of smell. They can smell things under the ice from nearly a mile away!'. Well done to Amelia, and also to students Mariyah, Elena and Matteo who were all runners up in the competition.

Well done to 7D, and to all the students who participated in the competition with great enthusiasm. Thanks also to our librarians for organising the competition, and encouraging our students to use the facilities in our wonderful new library.
