Literary achievement: SCD pupils win national monologue competition
During the summer, a number of SCD pupils demonstrated their creative writing abilities by entering a competition hosted by the Wireless Theatre Company. Participants were challenged to craft an original monologue for the opportunity to have their work professionally recorded and distributed.
Following a competitive selection process, three SCD pupils, Hafsah B, Aliza K and Isabelle B were named as overall winners.
Their entries were commended for their exceptional quality, earning each pupil a monetary prize. As part of their award, the pupils now have the opportunity to either record the pieces themselves or have professional actors bring their scripts to life.
The school community extends its congratulations to Hafsah, Aliza and Isabelle on this impressive literary accomplishment.
