    Culture Day 2026

The school community came together in a vibrant celebration of unity and diversity for the annual Culture Day on Friday 26th June. Senior Prefect Yasmin did an outstanding job of organising the highly successful event, which she launched in assemblies to encourage school-wide participation. Thanks go to all the prefects for their superb organisation, which ensured the day ran seamlessly from start to finish.

Funds raised from the non-uniform day and various activities went to Electric Umbrella, a charity working closely with pupils to empower people through music. Pupils and staff fully embraced the spirit of the day by wearing beautiful cultural dress reflecting their personal heritages.

The day featured an exciting lineup of events, including workshops on Hindu philosophy for Year 12 and Year 9 pupils, led by the National Hindu Students' Forum and Chinmaya Mission UK. This inspiring visit was kindly facilitated by Mohit in Year 12.

Due to the warm weather, all the lunchtime celebrations were brought inside the Barbirolli Hall. The hall became a bustling hub where pupils showcased beautifully decorated cultural display stalls, shared traditional foods, and enjoyed an indoor tuck shop, competitions, and henna. Meanwhile, in the LRC, pupils celebrated by reading traditional stories and exploring how the values, beliefs, and traditions in these tales remain important in our society today.
