Inspirational SCD Student Rhys Hanson

Our student, Rhys Hanson, was recently awarded a coveted Medal from the Chorleywood Scouts for Meritorious Conduct.

In 2019 Rhys donated his bone marrow to his little brother, Sam, who had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia, but sadly died when it returned. His bravery in conducting such a selfless deed for his brother has been recognised through the receipt of the award.

Rhys you are an absolute inspiration and this award is truly deserved.
