Carol Service at St Clement Danes

The Christmas festivities began tonight at St Clement Danes as the annual Carol Service took place. A capacity audience enjoyed a range of performances, both musical and dramatic - and sometimes both - and sang carols accompanied by the First Orchestra. As ever, the standards were high, and stand out performances were too numerous to mention. The school was delighted to be joined by performers and parents from Croxley Danes School the first time and to welcome Terence Russoff, Curate of Christchurch, who gave an address and led prayers. A collection in aid of the Sixth Form Charities was made at the end of the evening – a fitting start to Charities Week which is now just around the corner. Many thanks to all the Sixth Formers who led ensembles, to the Drama Department, the peripatetic staff and to Miss Stevens and Mr Butterfield for putting on yet another fantastic concert. We look forward now to Grease, our next Creative Arts production, which takes place from 28th February to 2nd March.
