School Partnerships

St Clement Danes is involved with a range of exciting collaborative projects. These provide a stimulating input to ensure the quality of education experienced by SCD students is of the highest standard. It also allows staff wider professional development through opportunities to access research and practice beyond the boundaries of the school.

St Clement Danes is the lead school for the Herts & Bucks Teaching School Alliance a group of schools who collaborate to provide training for new teachers and continuous professional development for existing staff. Beyond that, the school also leads a local Challenge Partner Hub of eight schools. Challenge Partners is a national organisation which builds long term capacity within schools by providing a local platform from which to organise constructive collaboration and peer to peer evaluation. Meaningful research and development is made possible by the pooling of expertise and resources across schools. Activities range from supporting local school improvement to influencing the national education agenda.

The school also leads the Science Learning Partnership across a wide area of London and the South East. Accessing national resources, the partnership promotes professional development for staff to generate high quality Science teaching in all phases of education.

Links with Herts for Learning and the Bucks Learning Trust sustain contact with schools across both counties. These contacts are enhanced with an active involvement with universities such as the University of Hertfordshire, Brunel University, Kings College and Imperial College. There are operational relationships with other teaching school alliances in the area. Both research projects and school support funding is accessed from the National College for Teaching and Leadership.
