Headteacher, Mr Sutherland, Welcomes Students Back to School

Mr Sutherland recorded a virtual assembly to welcome the students back to school at the end of their first week. He talked about the loss and mixed emotions some may feel, but also commended the efforts of the staff and the start the students had made.

In the assembly Mr Sutherland discussed the school motto 'Loyauté m’oblige,' (loyalty binds me), saying 'we believe we have remained totally committed to each of you - you have certainly shown your commitment to the school.' The pandemic has taken a heavy toll, and we will mark that and reflect on the year we have had. The Day of National Reflection in the last week of term will help us to do this. He also stressed that we will continue to face challenges and navigate this difficult path as a school community.
