Sixth Form Prospectus
The Sixth Form Prospectus is distributed to Year 11 students in January. It is updated on an annual basis. The copy which will be handed to students in January 2010 will appear on this page at the start of the Spring Term 2010. The booklet outlines the academic criteria which the school applies to determine entrance to the Sixth Form, as well as pastoral care, extra-curricular information, the Sixth Form ethos and Sixth Form contract. There are also student comments about Sixth Form study as well as life in the Sixth Form in general. The booklet also provides information about every post-16 course which is offered by the school (including subjects which are offered in collaboration with other institutions). The school anticipates that 31 subjects will be on offer to students for study commencing in September 2010.
The booklet is supplemented by the Sixth Form Opportunities Evening which provides parents and students the opportunity to have the application process explained in full as well as speaking to subject leaders to find out more about the subjects they are interested in. The 2010 Sixth Form Opportunities Evening will be held on Wednesday 27th January at 7.00pm. This event is advertised in local newspapers. Entry to the Sixth Form at St. Clement Danes is not limited to students who already attend the school. Students from other institutions are most welcome to attend the Sixth Form Opportunities Evening and make application to join the Sixth Form in September 2010.
