Parents' Association
St. Clement Danes School Parents Association is a thriving and successful organization which aims to raise additional funds for the school, principally by holding a number of fundraising events during the school year. The Association is run by a dedicated committee of volunteers, who meet monthly during term time. Parents and carers of children joining St. Clement Danes School automatically become members of the Parents Association. Any parent may attend meetings, whether or not they are members of the committee. Parents are most welcome, of course, to join the committee and offer fresh ideas and perspectives to our fundraising efforts.
Among the highest profile events organized by the Parents Association are the Autumn Ball, held in October, the Christmas Craft and Gift Fair in December, a Quiz Night, held in March, and the Summer Fair, which takes place in June. We also run a Subscription Draw, with prizes paid out monthly, quarterly and each Christmas.
In 2008 the Parents Association raised over £35,000 for St. Clement Danes School, and we were also able to secure the acquisition of a new minibus valued at around £30,000. Last year, we proudly donated £25,000 to the school, including a single donation of £15,000 to help fund the landscaping and resurfacing of the area to the front of the Carey Sixth Form Block.
