Mathematics

The Mathematics faculty boasts firstclass facilities and lessons are enhanced by our state-of-the-art ICT resources. Students learn to appreciate the power, beauty and enjoyment of Mathematics – as well as an understanding of the relevance of mathematical skills in the workplace and in everyday life.

We aim to develop high levels of precision, logical thinking and problem solving skills. Our students achieve grades above the national average and gifted students at Key Stage 4 have the opportunity to develop their Mathematics beyond GCSE. This includes the option to do both Mathematics and Further Mathematics. The faculty is fully staffed with experienced subject specialists, several holding Hertfordshire Lead Teacher status.
