GCSE Options Prospectus

The GCSE Options prospectus is distributed to Year 9 students in March. It is updated on an annual basis. The copy which can be accessed on this page was handed to Year 9 students in March 2010. The prospectus outlines the Key Stage 4 curriculum at St. Clement Danes. In particular it differentiates between the core subjects which students must study and the options subjects which students can choose to study. Students choose four options subjects in total out of 17 which are offered, with the aim being to build a balanced curriculum which will give students choice when they come to make decisions about post-16 study.

The prospectus is supplemented by Options presentations which are made by subject leaders to students during assemblies in Spring as well as an Options Evening which provides parents and students the opportunity to have the options process explained in full as well as speaking to subject leaders to find out more about the subjects they are interested in. The 2011 Options Evening will be held on Wednesday 23rd March at 7.00pm.
