SCD School Making their Mark in Music

We are delighted to announce that St Clement Danes School has been nominated for a second time as a Music Mark School, the first being in 2018-2019.

Music Mark is an organisation, subject association and charity. All Music Mark schools demonstrate the following benefits of music education:

As a Music Mark school St Clement Danes is now recognised for the value we place on music whilst ensuring our pupils are able to access and engage with a high-quality music education. The school’s dedication to offering and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum is welcomed and celebrated.

We have always been extremely proud of our Music Faculty, led by Miss Stevens Director of Music, and our talented students who year after year delight us with their spectacular concerts and individual performances. Some of our Danes have gone on to become successful stars in their own right within the music industry, such as acclaimed singer songwriter Sarah Griffiths, now professionally known as Griffs and the singer songwriter Jack Garrett, who has had two extremely successful album releases to date.

We look forward to collaborating further with Music Mark in advocating and supporting high quality music education for our school community to enjoy.
