A fantastic performance at ESU Public Speaking Competition

A fantastic performance was given by three Year 10 and 11 students who participated in the district finals of the English-Speaking Union Competition, which was held at the Aldenham School on Tuesday 21st January 2020.  We are delighted that Elena Morgan was voted Best Speaker and Daniel Mullins was voted Best Questioner from all of the seven teams that participated in the competition. Well done to Chairperson Bonita Choda who also gave a very impressive performance, especially as this was her first experience of participating in this highly competitive competition. Bonita stepped into the role last Thursday to replace another student, just a few days prior to the competition.

Thanks are extended to English teacher Mrs McLetchie- George who supported the team during the preparation for the competition. She expressed gratitude to Year 12 student Milo Thomas, a previous winner of the competition, who gave up his lunchtimes to help coach the students.

Well done to the team for such a professional performance!
